Becker Shoes stands as a long-running Canadian shoe retailer, proudly family-owned and operated. In 1933, Clarence Becker opened the first Becker Shoes store in Hanover, Ontario. Taking the time to get to know each customer and their family personally helped make his business a success and a cornerstone of the community.

Clarence‘s son, Earl continued the tradition of personal service and selection, expanding the business with a second store in Collingwood,Ontario. The growth continued throughout the nineties and into the new millennium when grandson, Doug Becker, took over the family business.Now the business has expanded to sixteen locations and continues to be operated by the Becker family as Doug‘s son, Bradley has stepped into the business.

The shoe business has come along way in the last 90 years, but Becker Shoes still honours its origins by providing customer service and personalized shoe fitting.

The Barrie, Belleville and Owen Sound Becker Shoes locations have the Aetrex Albert 2 Pro Scanner. Using Aetrex technology, the scanner can provide a detailed image of foot pressure while standing and walking, arch shape, foot length and width as well as suggested shoe size.
